Obverse description Nimbate bust of Christ Pantokrator facing three-quarters, depicted within the concave field of the scyphate flan, the nimbus adorned with a cross. The right hand is raised in a gesture of benediction, while the left hand supports a closed scroll. The drapery of the maphorion is rendered in fine parallel folds. The Christological monogram IC-XC appears in the field to either side of the bust, executed in Greek uncial characters.
