| Reverse description | Central field bears a bold, flowing Arabic inscription in two lines identifying the issuing authority, executed in a cursive style characteristic of Crimean Khanate coinage of the early fifteenth century. The legend is set within a plain field bordered by the irregular edge of the flan. The script is deeply struck but shows the characteristic irregularities of hammered production. The overall design is spare and text-focused, consistent with the epigraphic tradition of Islamic silver aspres of the period. |
