Reverse description The reverse displays a four-line Persian verse legend in nasta'liq script, arranged in horizontal registers divided by ruled lines and filling the entire field to the rim. The poetic inscription glorifies Nader Shah as sovereign of Iran and conqueror of the world, reading 'sekke bar zar kard nam-e saltanat ra dar jahan / Nader-e Iran zamin va Khosrow-e giti-setan / zarb Esfahan / 1148'. The mint name 'Esfahan' (Isfahan) appears prominently in the lower register, with the AH date 1148 below it. The bold, densely packed calligraphy in high relief and the absence of any figural imagery are characteristic of Afsharid imperial gold coinage.
