| Obverse description | The field is entirely occupied by a multi-line Arabic Thuluth-script religious inscription arranged in horizontal bands, separated by decorative zigzag or wavy dividing lines. The text bears the Shahada formula proclaiming the oneness of Allah and the prophethood of Muhammad. The inscription fills the coin's surface to the edge, with no border or exergue, characteristic of Mamluk gold coinage. The calligraphic style is bold and densely packed, typical of hammered Ashrafi dinars of this period. |

| Reverse description | The reverse field is similarly covered entirely by a multi-line Arabic inscription in Thuluth script, divided by horizontal zigzag or wavy lines into registers. The legend names the reigning sultan with his full titulature. The text extends to the coin's periphery with no surrounding border, in keeping with standard Mamluk Ashrafi coinage conventions. The deeply struck calligraphy exhibits the characteristic bold relief of hammered Mamluk gold issues. |
