| Obverse description | Hammered gold flan of irregular circular form bearing a multi-line Arabic Thuluth inscription filling the central field, arranged in several horizontal registers framed by a double linear border with a dotted inner edge. The text of the Shahada is boldly struck in high relief calligraphy. The flan shows typical uneven edges characteristic of hand-struck Saadian gold coinage, with minor weakness at the periphery. A partial mint or date notation appears in the lower margin below the main inscription panel. |
