Obverse description Bare-headed, laureate bust of Emperor Vitellius facing left, depicted with a heavy, fleshy neck and characteristic portraiture; a small globe appears at the truncation of the neck. The effigy is rendered in the naturalistic style typical of Julio-Claudian imperial coinage, with the emperor shown in imperial drapery visible at the shoulder. The encircling legend runs along the periphery of the flan in bold Roman capitals.

Reverse description The personification of Clementia, draped and seated to the left upon a throne, holding an olive branch in her extended right hand and a long sceptre in her left. The figure is rendered in a classical style with flowing garments, embodying the imperial virtue of clemency. The legend is divided around the field, with the senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consultum) prominently placed in the lower field, affirming this as a senatorially authorized bronze issue.
