Obverse description Laureate head of Vespasian facing right, rendered in bold high relief with pronounced facial features characteristic of Flavian portraiture. The legend encircles the effigy in the field, reading from the lower left around the periphery. The portrait exhibits the characteristic realism of imperial Roman coinage, with clearly defined laurel wreath ties falling behind the neck. The bust is truncated at the shoulder and the overall engraving style reflects the official Rome mint production of the early Flavian period.
