Obverse description Laureate head of Vespasian facing right, rendered in the realistic Flavian portrait style characteristic of the period, with close-cropped hair and strong physiognomic features. The effigy is set within a beaded border, with the imperial titulature legend distributed around the circumference. The surface carries a dark olive-green patina consistent with heavily circulated bronze coinage of the early Flavian era.
Obverse script Latin
Obverse lettering IMP CAES VESPASIAN AVG P P COS IIII
(Translation: Imperator Caesar Vespasianus Augustus Pater Patriae, Consul Quartum. Supreme commander Caesar Vespasian, emperor, father of the nation, consul for the fourth time.)
