Reverse description The personification of Pax depicted as a draped female figure standing left, her weight resting against a short column at her right side. She extends her right hand to hold an olive branch forward and carries a caduceus in her left hand, emblems of peace and divine favour. The senatorial authorisation monogram S C (Senatus Consultum) is placed in the field, flanking the central figure to either side. The reverse legend PAX AVGVST is distributed around the upper field within a beaded border.
