Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Vespasian facing right, rendered in bold high relief characteristic of early Flavian coinage. The portrait displays the emperor's distinctive physiognomy — a broad, fleshy face with strong features — faithfully rendered in the Roman veristic tradition. A laurel wreath encircles the head, its leaves clearly articulated. The circular legend surrounds the portrait and runs along the inner border of the coin. The fields show the natural surface irregularities consistent with hand-struck bronze coinage of the period.
