Reverse description The reverse displays the large senatorial mark of value SC (Senatus Consulto) prominently at centre within a laurel wreath, affirming that the issue of this bronze coinage was authorized by decree of the Roman Senate. The wreath is carefully rendered with individual leaves tied at the base, enclosing the bold capital letters. The circular legend DAC PARTHICO P M TR POT XX COS VI P P surrounds the entire design along the outer border, recording Trajan's full titulature at the time of issue. The coin is struck on an irregular flan with a plain edge, consistent with standard hammered production at the Rome Mint.
