Obverse description Bare-headed, laureate bust of Titus facing right, depicted with a draped shoulder, the effigy rendered in the robust Flavian portrait style. A small globe is placed at the point of the neck truncation, a distinctive iconographic element of this issue. The surrounding legend, reading clockwise from the lower left, proclaims Titus's accumulated titles. The portrait shows strong, naturalistic facial modelling characteristic of Roman imperial coinage of the Flavian dynasty.
