(Translation: Imperator Titus Caesar Vespasianus Augustus, Pontifex Maximus, Tribunicia Potestate, Consul Septimum. Supereme commander (Imperator) Titus Caesar Vespasian, emperor (Augustus), high priest, holder of tribunician power, consul for the seventh time.)
Reverse description The winged goddess Victoria stands facing right atop the prow of a warship (rostrum), rendered in profile. In her raised right hand she holds a wreath, while her left hand bears a long palm branch — both attributes emblematic of military triumph. The figure is depicted in flowing drapery with wings extending upward. The divided legend VICTORIA AVGVST flanks the central device, with the senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consultum) appearing in the field to either side of the prow.
