(Translation: Titus Caesar Vespasianus Imperator, Pontifex [Maximus], Tribunicia Potestate, Consul Sextum. Titus Caesar Vespasianus, supreme commander (Imperator), [high] priest, holder of tribunician power, consul for the sixth time.)
Reverse description Winged Victory standing right atop a ship's prow (rostrum), her body rendered in a dynamic contrapposto pose with detailed feathered wings spread behind her. In her extended right hand she holds a wreath, and in her lowered left hand she carries a palm branch, both attributes symbolising military triumph. The letters S and C (Senatus Consultum) appear in the field to the left and right of the figure respectively, authorising the bronze issue by decree of the Senate. The legend is distributed around the periphery, and the prow base emphasises the naval victory associations traditional to this reverse type.
