| Obverse description | Bare-headed, laureate bust of Emperor Titus facing left, rendered in high relief with characteristic curly hair and strong facial features typical of Flavian portraiture. The emperor is depicted with a draped shoulder, the naturalistic modeling of the face conveying imperial authority. The encircling legend in Latin runs along the outer border of the flan. The die-work reflects the accomplished engraving style of the Rome mint under the Flavian dynasty. |
