Obverse description Laureate head of Titus facing right, depicted as a young man with short hair, rendered in bold high relief characteristic of Flavian dynastic portraiture. The bust is bare-necked and truncated at the shoulder. The encircling Latin legend reads T CAES IMP PON TR P COS II CENS, distributed around the full periphery of the flan. The portrait displays strong, naturalistic facial features consistent with official Flavian iconography as used during Titus's tenure as heir under Vespasian. A beaded border frames the design.
