Obverse description Laureate bust of Titus facing right, draped, with a small globe positioned at the point of the neck truncation, a characteristic Flavian dynastic motif. The effigy is rendered in the naturalistic portrait style typical of the Roman Imperial period, with finely detailed laurel wreath and facial features. The encircling Latin legend runs clockwise around the periphery of the flan. The overall die style reflects the competent craftsmanship of the Rome mint under Vespasian's reign, during which Titus held the titles recorded in the inscription.
