Obverse description Laureate bust of Emperor Titus facing right, depicted with characteristic Flavian portraiture style. The effigy shows the emperor with a radiate or laurel wreath crown and short curled hair rendered in low relief. The Greek legend ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟΣ (Sebastos, meaning Augustus) surrounds the portrait. The flan is irregular and slightly irregular at the edges, consistent with provincial hammered coinage of the period.
