The emperor's effigy is shown in profile with clearly defined facial features and a wreath of laurel. The surrounding legend is incuse and partially worn, running along the coin's periphery. The senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consultum) is prominently placed in the field, flanking the central figure as was customary on Flavian bronze coinage.
