| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of Tiberius facing right, rendered in the austere portrait style characteristic of early Julio-Claudian coinage. The emperor's features are depicted with classical restraint, the neck truncation clearly defined. A circular Latin legend runs along the periphery of the flan, identifying the subject by his titles and filiation. The flan is struck on a broad, slightly irregular bronze planchet typical of Augustan-era senatorial bronze coinage. |
