| Reverse description | Within a finely beaded border, a large laurel wreath encloses the abbreviated civic magistrates' title II VIR, referencing the two duoviri responsible for the coin's issue. The surrounding circular Latin legend reads MVN TVRIASO MN SVLP LVCAN M SEMP FRONT II VIR, naming the municipium of Turiaso and its magistrates Mn. Sulpicius Lucanus and M. Sempronius Frontinus. The composition is bold and well-centred, reflecting the standard reverse design employed by the Hispanic provincial mint of Turiaso during the reign of Tiberius. |
