| Obverse description | Laureate head of Emperor Tiberius facing right, rendered in the provincial Roman style with boldly modeled features. The emperor's effigy displays a wreath of laurel, a symbol of imperial authority, with finely engraved hair visible beneath. A circular legend in Latin surrounds the portrait, reading in full TI · AVGVS · DIVI · AVGVSTI · F · IMP · CAESAR, identifying Tiberius as son of the deified Augustus and holder of the title Imperator. The flan is slightly irregular, as is characteristic of struck bronze issues from Hispanian municipal mints of the Julio-Claudian period. |
