Obverse description Laureate head of Tiberius facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed wreath of laurel leaves. The bust is bare-shouldered, presented in the Roman imperial portrait tradition. A circular legend surrounds the effigy, reading TI CAESAR DIVI AVGVSTI F AVGVSTVS in Latin capital letters. The flan is irregular, typical of provincial hammered coinage of the period.
