| Obverse description | Laureate head of Emperor Nerva facing right, rendered in the restrained, realistic portrait style characteristic of Flavian-era imperial coinage. The effigy displays the aged features of the emperor with finely engraved laurel wreath. The encircling Latin legend runs along the full periphery of the flan, with the bust truncation visible at the lower field.
