The composition conveys dynamic movement through the forward stride and outstretched arms, reflecting the Hellenistic artistic tradition adopted in Roman imperial iconography. The abbreviated senatorial authorisation mark S C (Senatus Consultum) appears prominently in the field, flanking the central type, as was standard on Julio-Claudian aes coinage.
