Obverse lettering IMP NERO CAESAR AVG P MAX TR POT P P
(Translation: Imperator Nero Caesar Augustus, Pontifex Maximus, Tribunicia Potestas, Pater Patriae. Supreme commander (Imperator) Nero Caesar, emperor (Augustus), high priest, tribunician power, father of the country.)
Reverse description Winged Victory personified as a draped female figure striding dynamically to the left, her wings fully extended behind her. She holds with both hands a large oval shield inscribed with the letters S P Q R (Senatus Populusque Romanus), referencing the Roman senate and people. The composition conveys martial triumph and imperial legitimacy, typical of Neronian propaganda iconography. The senatorial authorization mark S C appears in the field, flanking the central figure. The drapery is rendered in flowing folds consistent with mid-first-century Roman die-cutting conventions.
