Reverse description The Genius Populi Romani depicted standing in contrapposto facing left, clad in a toga or similar drapery, extending a patera in the right hand over a small flaming altar at his feet, and holding a cornucopiae (horn of plenty) upright in the left hand. The figure conveys divine protection and imperial benevolence, consistent with Neronian religious iconography. The abbreviated legend GENIO AVGVSTI appears in the upper field, with the senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consultum) positioned in the lower field to either side of the figure, attesting to senatorial sanction for the bronze coinage.
