Obverse description Bare head of Germanicus facing right, rendered in the idealized portrait style characteristic of Julio-Claudian coinage. The effigy displays finely detailed hair swept forward over the brow, with a youthful and noble expression befitting his dynastic status. A dotted border frames the design, with the encircling legend running continuously around the periphery of the flan. The portrait occupies the central field with confident relief, consistent with the Flavian-era restitution style. This is a posthumous restruck type issued under Titus in honor of the celebrated general.
