Obverse description Bare head of Emperor Galba facing right, rendered in a realistic portrait style typical of Julio-Claudian and early Flavian imperial coinage. The effigy depicts the aged emperor with pronounced facial features, including a strong jaw and characteristic wrinkles, consistent with known Galban portraiture. The circular legend surrounds the portrait field, reading from the lower left in Latin capitals. The portrait is unadorned, without laurel wreath or diadem, emphasizing Galba's austere Republican self-presentation. The flan is slightly irregular in shape, as is characteristic of hand-struck bronze issues of this period.
