Reverse description The personification of Salus, draped and standing facing right, leaning with her left arm upon a tall column while extending her right hand to feed a serpent coiling upward from the ground before her. The figure is rendered in the classical allegorical tradition common to Julio-Claudian and Year of the Four Emperors coinage. The senatorial authorization mark S C (Senatus Consulto) appears in the field to either side of the central figure, and the reverse legend SALVS AVGVSTI arcs across the upper field.
