| Obverse description | Bare-headed and laureate bust of Emperor Galba facing right, rendered with characteristic aged features and a draped shoulder, the portrait executed in the veristic tradition of Roman imperial coinage. The legend encircles the effigy in Latin capitals around the periphery of the flan. The die work reflects the transitional style of the Year of the Four Emperors, with somewhat variable strike quality typical of this brief and turbulent reign. |

| Reverse description | The personification of Salus, draped and standing facing right in the field, leaning with her left elbow upon a tall column while extending her right hand downward to feed a serpent coiled at the column's base. The senatorial authorization monogram S C (Senatus Consulto) appears in the lower field to either side of the column. The encircling legend names the type and confirms the senatorial authority under which the bronze coinage was issued. |
