(Translation: Servius Galba Imperator Caesar Augustus, Tribunicia Potestate. Servio Galba, supreme commander (Imperator), Caesar, emperor (Augustus), holder of tribunician power.)
Reverse description The personification of Pax standing left, draped in a long stola, holding a cornucopiae in her left hand and lowering a lighted torch with her right hand toward a pile of arms and military equipment at her feet, symbolising the destruction of weapons and the establishment of peace. The large senatorial authority marks S and C (Senatus Consultum) flank the central figure in the field to left and right respectively. The surrounding legend identifies the issuing emperor Titus and records the restitution. The reverse type is characteristic of Flavian restitution asses struck in honour of earlier emperors.
