Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Galba facing right, rendered in a realistic, aged portrait style typical of Julio-Claudian and Flavian-era imperial coinage. The emperor's neck and lower bust are visible, with strong facial features including a prominent jaw and aquiline nose. The laureate wreath encircles the head, and the legend runs around the periphery of the flan in Latin capital letters. The overall die work reflects the transitional artistic style of the short-lived Galbic reign.
