Obverse description Laureate head of Domitian facing right, rendered in bold high relief characteristic of Flavian portraiture, with finely detailed hair and laurel wreath. The emperor's draped bust displays a strong, idealized profile with prominent features typical of official imperial coinage of the period. The surrounding legend runs clockwise from the lower left, giving the emperor's full titulature. The field shows areas of green patination consistent with long-term burial. The overall style reflects the accomplished die-cutting of the Rome Mint workshops under Domitian.
