| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Domitian facing right, rendered in bold high relief characteristic of Flavian portraiture. The emperor's effigy displays his characteristic strong features with a laurel wreath crowning his head. A continuous Latin legend surrounds the bust along the coin's border, recording his full imperial titulature. The flan is irregular in shape, typical of hammered bronze coinage of the period, and the surface retains a green patina consistent with age. |
