Reverse description The winged goddess Victoria stands in three-quarter view to the right, poised atop the prow of a warship (rostrum), symbolising naval triumph. She extends her right arm upward to hold a laurel wreath aloft, while her left hand carries a long palm branch resting against her shoulder. Her flowing robes are rendered with fine drapery lines, and her large, detailed wings are spread behind her. The senatorial authorisation marks S C (Senatus Consultum) are prominently placed in the field to either side of the figure, with the legend VICTORIA AVGVST arcing around the upper periphery.
