| Obverse description | Laureate head of Emperor Domitian facing right, rendered in bold high relief with finely detailed hair and laurel wreath. The portrait displays the characteristic strong jaw and prominent brow associated with Flavian imperial portraiture. The encircling Latin legend runs continuously around the periphery of the flan, naming the emperor with his full titulature including his consulship and censorship. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with hammered bronze coinage of the Flavian period. |
