| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Domitian facing right, draped and wearing an aegis on the left shoulder, rendered in high relief with characteristic Flavian portrait style. The emperor's effigy displays curly hair beneath the laurel wreath, with a strong, idealised facial profile. The encircling Latin legend runs continuously around the obverse field, separated by stops. The flan is irregular in shape, as is typical of hammered Roman bronze coinage of the period. |
