Obverse description Laureate head of Augustus facing right, rendered in the idealised Julio-Claudian portrait style typical of provincial Hispanic coinage. The laurel wreath is depicted in low relief following the coin's heavy wear. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, reading IMP CAES AVG TR POT PON MAX P P, invoking the emperor's full suite of titles including tribunician power and pontifex maximus. The portrait occupies the majority of the flan, with the legend distributed evenly around the periphery.
