Obverse description Bare head of Augustus facing right, rendered in a classical portrait style with finely modeled features. The legend encircles the effigy along the left and lower periphery of the flan, partially visible due to the irregular striking. The portrait displays the characteristic idealized physiognomy associated with Augustan imperial coinage, with short, layered hair rendered in low relief. The flan shows the typical broad, irregular fabric characteristic of early Imperial provincial bronze issues struck under the authority of Publius Carisius.
