| Reverse description | Central motif consists of a civic wreath, rendered with carefully delineated leaves tied at the base, enclosing the abbreviated legend II VIR in two horizontal lines, referring to the two duoviri magistrates responsible for issuing the coinage. A small circular boss or pellet appears above and below the wreath within the field. The surrounding circular legend MVN AVGVSTA BILBILIS M SEMP TIBERI L LICI VARO II VIR identifies the issuing municipality of Augusta Bilbilis and names the two magistrates, M. Sempronius Tiberius and L. Licinius Varo, in the standard formula of Hispanic provincial civic coinage. |
