| Obverse description | Bare or lightly laureate head of Augustus facing right, rendered in the provincial Hispano-Roman style with naturalistic facial features. The portrait displays the characteristic idealized but restrained classicism of Augustan coinage, with clearly defined facial contours and short hair. A circular Latin legend surrounds the bust close to the toothed border of the flan. The coin exhibits typical patination consistent with bronze provincial issues of the Julio-Claudian period. |
