| Obverse description | Bare laureate head of Augustus facing right, rendered in the prevailing Augustan portrait style adopted by Hispanic municipal mints. The effigy displays the characteristic wreath of laurel leaves across the brow, with naturalistic facial features and a truncated neck. The surrounding circular legend reads AVGVSTVS DIVI F PONT MAX PATER PATRIAI in Latin characters, distributed around the full circumference of the flan. The die work reflects local craftsmanship typical of the Osca mint during the Augustan period. |
