| Obverse description | Bare laureate head of Augustus facing right, rendered in the idealized portrait style characteristic of Augustan provincial coinage. The laurel wreath is depicted with individual leaves radiating from the brow. The encircling legend reads AVGVSTVS DIVI F, identifying the emperor as son of the deified Julius Caesar.
