Reverse description Central field dominated by the large senatorial monogram S C (Senatus Consultum), flanked on either side, with the moneyer's legend arranged around the periphery. The letters S and C are boldly rendered and remain partially legible despite significant surface wear and encrustation. The inscription names the tresvir monetalis Gaius Plotius Rufus, responsible for the striking of coinage in gold, silver, and bronze by authority of a decree of the Senate.
