Obverse description Bare head of Augustus facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair arranged in short locks across the forehead. The portrait displays the characteristic Augustan classicising style typical of Hispanian provincial coinage. The legend AVGVSTVS is inscribed in large Latin capitals along the right field, curving from below upward. The flan is irregular and somewhat thick, consistent with Bilbilitan provincial production. A beaded border frames the design.
