The structure rests on a stylobate and is rendered in a schematic provincial style. The temple is surrounded or flanked by a wreath or decorative border encircling the design. A Phoenician inscription appears in the exergue or field identifying the city of Thaena. The overall composition is a civic type celebrating a local cult sanctuary.
