Reverse description Armored horseman at full gallop to the right, mounted on a vigorous horse with forelegs raised, holding a long couched spear or lance in his right hand. The rider wears a helmet and military attire consistent with Iberian warrior iconography. The municipal legend BILBILIS is inscribed in Latin characters in the lower field or exergue beneath the horse. This iconic jinete (cavalryman) type is the hallmark device of Celtiberian civic bronze coinage and reflects the strong martial traditions of the region.
