| Reverse description | The reverse bears the Latin legend ACINIPO arranged horizontally across the centre of the field, identifying the issuing city. Above and below the inscription are two groups of three ears of grain or barley arranged in opposing directions, a motif emblematic of the agricultural wealth of the region and frequently employed on the civic coinage of Hispania. The design is framed within the irregular flan typical of hammered provincial bronze coinage. The lettering is in a plain, provincial Latin script of the late Republican period. |
