| Obverse description | Bare-headed and laureate bust of Galerius Maximianus facing right, depicted with short beard and draped paludamentum at the truncation, rendered in the robust Tetrarchic portrait style. The effigy displays a laurel wreath set firmly upon the head with detailed foliage, and the facial features show the characteristic square-jawed, military physiognomy typical of the Diocletianic period. The encircling legend MAXIMIANVS CAESAR runs along the outer border within a beaded torus. |
